Sustainability is at the absolute core of everything we do here at MooKi®.
From Day One
We knew we had huge changes to implement on our Mission to becoming a Sustainable Business.
Our Ethos is to be as ethical, transparent and sustainable as possible and we are always happy to chat about our values.
We became a CSRA Associate in 2022.
Energy Supply
Our entire Workshop Energy Supply comes from Wind, Sun and Sea!
Totally renewable and an absolute must moving forward.
Our future goal includes investing in Solar Panels to take this important step even further.
No Outsourcing
This is a really big one!
Because we have our own Casting Foundry we are able to reduce our Carbon Footprint immensely by never sending our work away to be moulded, prepped and cast.
This is virtually unheard of in the Jewellery Industry and something we are extremely proud of.
Manufacturing
From the start we made a clear plan that all our Jewellery would be handcrafted entirely from Recycled Silver and Gold.
Each individual MooKi® piece is created using 100% Sustainable Metals.
Unlike mass produced Jewellery which is a very worrying trade both ethically and environmentally.
MAKING THE CHANGE…
The first thing we wanted to improve was our Beautiful Gift Packaging.
All our Jewellery Bags and Boxes are made from Recycled Materials and are fully Recyclable. It took us several months to implement this fully as most Recycled Gift packaging is (let’s face it) rather dull…. something we are definitely not!
All our outer/postal packaging is recycled too and we never use plastic tape. All these seemingly small changes, such as using paper tape, make a massive impact on the Planet. Even our thermal address labels are recyclable, yay!
